VISION

Forging Leaders, Bettering the World

History

Founded in 1952 by Harry Steiner and the

Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity

In 1950, the Supreme Council of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity recognized the potential benefits of having funds available to offer financial support to both chapters and individual brothers when needed. This led to the establishment of the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation, which officially became a 501(c)3 in 1952. For more than 60 years, the foundation has remained committed to the mission envisioned by the early Brothers. Over this time, the foundation has granted scholarships, starting from a single $250 award, and growing to awards exceeding $17,000 today, totaling over $2,000,000 in scholarships.

The Zeta Beta Tau Foundation adapts alongside the evolving needs of the fraternity. Our programs, centered on leadership and heritage, are designed to meet our Brothers--both undergraduate and Alumni--where they are and guide them in becoming the next generation of men of good character.
